Unlocking unstructured data to power legal workflows

About

We created LexSelect to help lawyers like us.

We’re driven by a mission to empower legal professionals with technology that improves efficiency and accuracy.

LexSelect parses and extracts information from complex, unstructured documents (like PDFs) and brings it into the tools legal professionals use every day. By automating low-value administrative work, we help teams improve accuracy, reduce risk, and focus on high-value, billable work.

What we build

1) End-User Product (LexChat):
Fast, accurate, and verifiable document search and summarization across large document sets, with automated text insertion into Word—significantly reducing manual effort and errors.

2) Enterprise Workflow Platform: Automates metadata extraction, substantially cutting administrative overhead and improving accuracy (e.g., firm losing ~800 non-billable hours/year on manual data entry, equivalent to $100K in lost paralegal billable time for a 30-lawyer firm).

3) Parsing Engine API: Enables product teams to embed domain-specific document parsing into their applications, supporting scalable ingestion and AI workflows without building parsing infrastructure internally.

Born from real litigation workflow challenges and built by legal tech entrepreneurs, LexSelect is here to change how legal teams handle unstructured data—faster, more reliably, and at scale.

Morgan Maguire

Co-Founder & CEO

Co-Founder and CEO of LexSelect, a legal tech company building a platform that transforms unstructured documents into structured, verifiable data for legal and document-driven workflows. Legal work runs on PDFs and other unstructured documents that are difficult to use reliably—whether for drafting, review, ingestion, or AI—because context, structure, and source traceability are lost. LexSelect converts these documents into context-rich, machine-readable data that supports accurate, defensible outputs across workflows. At the core is a parsing engine that underpins end-user tools, enterprise workflows, and partner integrations, enabling passage-level traceability and scalable use of documents as trusted inputs.
